One would never guess this peaceful retreat is located in the urban center of a bustling college town. Like so many others during the Covid-19 pandemic, this client desired a refuge where “sheltering in place” would be more of a ‘staycation.’ Taking cues from the rustic style of the main house and detached garage with guest apartment, the DK Design team designed and oversaw construction of the 3-season pavilion, grilling center and pool with integrated spa and water feature. Native stone, stained wood and textured pavers bring warmth to the space, while custom cabinetry and Delton countertops ensure durable functionality.
