After completing previous phases of this expansive project, DK Design was asked to help with rebuilding a century-old farmhouse that once stood on the property. Working with the homeowners, architect and builder, DK Design led the charge to design and install all outdoor elements, including hardscape, landscape, outdoor living spaces and lighting. A gurgling fountain greets guests as they pass through the entry gate, where the home's original dinner bell was salvaged and reused as an emblem of this enduring homestead. The entry courtyard serves double duty as the outdoor dining room, complete with a pizza oven and grill center. Wrap around porches and the fire-pit patio house ample seating for relaxing and enjoying the views of the nearby river, fields and pond, while the screened porch and pavilion offer even cozier spots to rest or to gather for activities, including playing tennis on the court surfaced in American brown clay.
