Point
For this project "Down East" (as locals refer to it colloquially) DK Design headed once again to the coast of Northeastern Maine. Working with local trades- and craftspeople, the gardens and outdoor living spaces were significantly enlarged and enhanced. A low stone wall, boxwood hedges and flowering shrubs envelope the arrival courtyard. The perennial cutting garden was expanded, enclosed with evergreen hedges and embellished with an antique birdbath and teak bench. A separate culinary garden supports fruits, vegetables and herbs. New and old stone terraces house curated furnishings and offer multiple gathering options, various site lines and varying sunlight exposures. Rows of "nomadic" chairs offer breathtaking views of the pond and the tidal river that borders the property.
